Memories Can't Wait

Memories Can't Wait antigamente fechava o lado A do LP.

Memories Can't Wait

Do you remember anyone here?

No you don't remember anything at all
I'm sleeping, I'm flat on my back
Never woke up, had no regrets

There's a party in my mind...
And it never stops
There's a party up there all the time...
They'llparty till they drop
Other people can go home...
Other peoplle they can split
I'll be here all the time...
I can never quit

Take a walk through the land of shadows
Take a walk through the peaceful meadows
Try not to look so disappointed
It isn't what you hoped for, is it?

There's a party in my mind...
And I hope it never stops
I'm stuck here in this seat...
I might not stand up

Other people can go home...
Everyone else will split
I'll be here all the time...
I can never quit

Everything is very quiet
Everyone has gone to sleep
I'm wide awake on memories
These memories can't wait.

A Sort Of Homecoming

A sort of homecoming é uma dessas músicas atemporais, clássicas.

And you know it's time to go
Through the sleet and driving snow
Across the fields of mourning
Light in the distance

And you hunger for the time
Time to heal, desire, time
And your earth moves beneath
Your own dream landscape

Oh, oh, oh...
On borderland we run...

I'll be there
I'll be there...
Tonight
A high road
A high road out from here

The city walls are all come down
The dust, a smoke screen all around
See faces ploughed like fields that once
Gave no resistance

And we live by the side of the road
On the side of a hill
As the valley explode
Dislocated, suffocated
The land grows weary of its own

Oh, oh, oh...on borderland we run...
And still we run
We run and don't look back
I'll be there
I'll be there
Tonight
Tonight

I'll be there tonight...I believe
I'll be there...somehow
I'll be there...tonight
Tonight

The wind will crack in winter time
This bomb-blast lightning waltz
No spoken words, just a scream...

Tonight we'll build a bridge
Across the sea and land
See the sky, the burning rain
She will die and live again
Tonight

And your heart beats so slow
Through the rain and fallen snow
Across the fields of mourning
Light's in the distance

Oh don't sorrow, no don't weep
For tonight, at last
I am coming home
I am coming home

Maybe i´m amazed

Posted by Hello

Maybe I'm Amazed

Baby I´m amazed at the way you love me all the time
Maybe I´m afraid of the way I love you
Baby I´m amazed at the the way you pulled me out of time
Hung me on a line
Maybe I´m amazed at the way I really need you

Baby I´m a man and maybe I´m a lonely man
Who´s in the middle of something
That he dosen´t really understand
Babe I´m a man and maybe you´re the only woman
Who could ever help me
Baby won´t you help to me understand

(lead solo)

Baby I´m a man and maybe I´m a lonely man
Who´s in the middle of something
That he dosen´t really understand
Babe I´m a man and maybe you´re the only woman
Who could ever help me
Baby won´t you help me understand

Baby I´m amazed at the way you´re with me all the time
Maybe I´m afraid of the way I leave you
Baby I´m amazed at the way you help me sing my song
You right me when I´m wrong
Maybe I´m amazed at the way I really need you

Vamos aos fatos básicos. Audioslave é formado por 3/4 do Rage Against the Machine e 1/4 do Soundgarden.

Vamos as opiniões subjetivas.
Sempre gostei do Soundgarden.
Acho Tom Morello o " The Edge" do rock pesado.

Like A Stone

On a cobweb afternoon
in a room full of emptiness,
by a freeway, I confess
I was lost in the pages
of a book full of death.
Reading how we'll die alone.
If we're good, we'll lay to rest
anywhere we want to go.

In your house, I long to be.
Room by room, patiently
I wait for you there like a stone.
I wait for you there alone.

And on my deathbed, I will pray
to the Gods and the Angels
like a pagan to anyone
who will take me to Heaven.
To a place I recall
I was there so long ago.
The sky was bruised. The wine was bled.
And there you led me on.

In your house, I long to be.
Room by room, patiently.
I wait for you there, like a stone.
I wait for you there,
alone, alone.

And on I read, until the day was gone.
And I sat in regret of all the things I've done.
For all that I've blessed, and all that I've wronged.
In dreams until my death, I will wonder on.

In your house, I long to be.
Room by room, patiently.
I wait for you there, like a stone.
I wait for you there,
alone, alone.

Sun City

Sun City

We're rockers and rappers united and strong
We're here to talk about South Africa we don't like what's
going on
It's time for some justice it's time for the truth
We've realized there's only one thing we can do

I ain't gonna play Sun City

Relocation to phony homelands
Separation of families I can't understand
23 million can't vote because they're black
We're stabbing our brothers and sisters in the back

I ain't gonna play Sun City

Our government tells us we're doing all we can
Constructive Engagement is Ronald Reagan's plan
Meanwhile people are dying and giving up hope
This quiet diplomacy ain't nothing but a joke

I ain't gonna play Sun City

Boputhuswana is far away
But we know it's in South Africa no matter what they say
You can't buy me I don't care what you pay
Don't ask me Sun City because I ain't gonna play

I ain't gonna play Sun City

It's time to accept our responsibility
Freedom is a privilege nobody rides for free
Look around the world baby it can't be denied
Why are we always on the wrong side

I ain't gonna play Sun City

Relocation to phony homelands
Separation of families I can't understand
23 million can't vote because they're black
We're stabbing our brothers and sisters in the back

Bang A Gong (Get It On)

Bang A Gong (Get It On)
Well you're dirty and sweet
Clad in black don't look back and I love you
You're dirty and sweet, oh yeah
Well you're slim and you're weak
You've got the teeth of the hydra upon you
Tou're dirty sweet and you're my girl

Get it on, bang a gong, get it on
Get it on, bang a gong, get it on

Well you're built like a car
You've got a hub cap diamond star halo
You're built like a car, oh yeah
Well yuo're an untamed youth
That's the truth with your cloak full of eagles
You're dirty sweet and you're my girl

Get it on, bang a gong, get it on
Get it on, bang a gong, get it on, oh

Well you're windy and wild
You've got the blues in your shoes and your stockings
You're windy and wild, oh yeah
Well you're built like a car
You've got a hub cap diamond star halo
You're dirty sweet and you're my girl

Get it on, bang a gong, get it on
Get it on, bang a gong, get it on- ooh

Well you're dirty and sweet
Clad in black, don't look back and I love you
You're dirty and sweet, oh yeah
Well you dance when you walk
So let's dance, take a chance, understand me
You're dirty sweet and you're my girl

Get it on, bang a gong, get it on - ow - get it on - mh

Get it on, bang a gong, get it on -a-a-a-a
Get it on, bang a gong, get it on -a-a-a-a....
Take me, for a meanwhile I'm still thinkin'

Bird On The Wire

Nunca ouviu Leonard Cohen? Começe por essa!

Bird On The Wire

Like a bird on the wire,
like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.
Like a worm on a hook,
like a knight from some old fashioned book
I have saved all my ribbons for thee.
If I, if I have been unkind,
I hope that you can just let it go by.
If I, if I have been untrue
I hope you know it was never to you.

Like a baby, stillborn,
like a beast with his horn
I have torn everyone who reached out for me.
But I swear by this song
and by all that I have done wrong
I will make it all up to thee.
I saw a beggar leaning on his wooden crutch,
he said to me, "You must not ask for so much."
And a pretty woman leaning in her darkened door,
she cried to me, "Hey, why not ask for more?"

Oh like a bird on the wire,
like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.

By Leonard Cohen

Album: Songs from a Room

Year: 1969
